Eepitch blocks vs. Org ":session"s
In a discussion on IRC during the EmacsConf 2023 I met a
person who uses Org a lot and who had tried to use eev and eepitch a bit. (S?)he sort of said that:
- eepitch blocks are stricly less powerful than Org's code blocks, and
- that (s?)he couldn't see the point of eev.
That took me by surprise, and I spent the following days thinking a
lot about that. Now, compare:
- eepitch blocks are strictly less powerful than Org's code blocks,
- eepitch blocks are similar to Org ":session"s,
- eepitch blocks don't parse their outputs, and don't export them back,
with:
- Org and eepitch can be used together - even in the same file,
- Org and eepitch induce different workflows,
- bare metal black box M-1 f8
